Surgery
Port Insertion

A chemotherapy port is a small device that is implanted under your skin to allow easy access to your bloodstream. A port can be used to draw blood and infuse chemotherapy drugs. It can also be used if you need transfusions of red blood cells or platelets. Avoid delays of finding a vein, greater comfort are few benefits of port insertion

Mouth Cancer Surgery

Your surgeon removes the cancer and a border (margin) of normal tissue around it. This checks there are no cancer cells left behind. The operation is called a primary tumor resection.

Breast Cancer Surgery

Most women with breast cancer have some type of surgery as part of their treatment. There are different types of breast surgery, and it may be done for different reasons, depending on the situation. For example, surgery may be done to:

  • Remove as much of the cancer as possible (breast-conserving surgery or mastectomy)
  • Find out whether the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes under the arm (sentinel lymph node biopsy or 'axillary lymph node dissection)
  • Restore the breast’s shape after the cancer is removed (breast reconstruction)
  • Relieve symptoms of advanced cancer

Stomach Cancer

Surgery may be done to remove the cancer and part or all of the stomach and some nearby lymph nodes, depending on the type and stage of stomach cancer. The surgeon will try to leave behind as much normal stomach as possible. Sometimes other organs will need to be removed as well.
